Despite the widespread perception that a child’s character-forming years are solely based within the classroom, parents and teachers are increasingly conscious that a child’s time at school will shape them into a smart, respected, and polite adult in more ways than one. Cultural events, sports, and even how children communicate with one another. can all have a significant impact on your child. It is critical for parents wishing to enroll their children in one of the best schools in Greater Noida that will provide them with the best chance of becoming successful, thoughtful, and active participants in society to look for institutions that provide an all-round education. The advantages of receiving a well-rounded education are listed below.

Art and creativity

Painting, painting, sculpture, ceramics, theater, chess, and even judo are just a few of the fun activities available to your child. A growing number of private schools are broadening their horizons when it comes to extracurricular activities and the arts. Children who receive a well-rounded education are encouraged to pursue their passions without losing sight of their original objectives.

Physical activity

A healthy body and mind are inextricably linked. Schools are increasingly offering a variety of sports to suit all tastes and interests. It’s worth looking into the sports and activities schedule, which includes everything from skiing to horseback riding to the more conventional favorites of hockey,

football, and rugby. Regular exercise, high-quality coaching, and skill development are just a few of the advantages of enrolling in a school with a robust sports programme; it will also teach your child the value of teamwork and collaboration.

Excellent teachers

Exclusive and ingenious teaching processes and strategies are an important aspect of providing all-round education. This contributes to the creation of a learning environment that encourages perfection through positive reinforcement. Lower student-to-teacher ratios, along with modern teaching approaches, provide an excellent overall educational experience. Our school is one of the top 10 CBSE schools in Greater Noida because our teachers are professionally educated to provide such all-encompassing learning opportunities for our students.

Well oriented

A system of education that only focuses on grades and earning good marks is not designed to encourage students to consider the long term and their future. Children benefit from all-round education systems because they are encouraged to consider what they want to do as adults from an early age. This aids students in developing early objectives and ambitions, which is crucial in objective-oriented schooling. Kids’ drive and focus are stimulated when they have an ambition or a goal to achieve.

Critical thinking

It is done in a self-directed manner when one thinks critically. There is an objective internalization of the problem at hand. Critical thinking is at the heart of learning because it helps students reflect on and comprehend their own perspectives. Based on personal observation and comprehension, this skill aids a pupil in figuring out how the world works. It helps students become self-assured and confident because they understand that the end result is the consequence of a cognitive process that produces results. Students acquire the ability to learn from their mistakes, which are both important in their personal and professional life.

Well prepared for college

According to studies, students who graduate from institutions that provide a well-rounded education are more likely to succeed in college than those who do not. These kids have higher chances of:

  • Receiving scholarships and college funding
  • Gaining admission to world-class universities and colleges
  • Landing jobs with higher-paying salaries
  • Having more fruitful and prosperous careers overall

An all-around education entails more than merely providing children with a diverse selection of disciplines to choose from. It’s also about giving students access to meticulous coursework as well as any further assistance they may require.

Education systems that are entirely focused on putting kids through uncompromising learning schedules and environments in order to secure results that reflect well on the institution should be avoided. Parents who want their children to grow into all-around individuals with strong, resilient personalities, dynamic, comprehensive intellects, and a diverse set of abilities should seek out institutions that provide such learning settings.

Top-Notch Learning Methods are a must (DECA, ATL, etc.)

Kids’ focus and drive are stimulated when they have an ambition or a goal to achieve, whether they want to excel in AI or neuroscience, all in all, their foundation must be strong, once they have a good grasp on the basic concepts it won’t be difficult for them to wrap their heads around more complex concepts. That’s why Here at our school students have access to Atal Tinkering Labs(ATL) in which students can really explore and discover.

Our school follows the DECA (Discover, Explore, Connect, and Apply) model, a technique developed by our esteemed faculty members, the sole purpose of which is to equip children with decisive skills that will help them achieve their goals in their selected career path.

Conclusion

Are you a parent looking for some of the top schools in Greater Noida for your child? Then please contact us right away. We’d love to show you how our carefully crafted curriculum, which is designed to provide your children with a well-rounded education, can assist them in charting their own route to success and glory. It can be difficult to maintain concentration, manage behavior, and encourage active participation while working with children and teenagers. Furthermore, teaching adults presents its own set of difficulties: adult learners often find it difficult to assimilate new information and shift old thought habits. There are several ways to approach learning methods although it is not simple as it sounds. Although here at one of the top schools in greater Noida, every method is tested and only the ones that have a positive impact on children are taught.

Indoor Games are The Best

Gamification, or game-based learning, is a terrific approach to engage kids, especially those in primary and secondary school. The definition of gamification is a strategy that implements game-like elements into non-gaming activities to enhance motivation. Since children are very interested in games, from video games and mobile applications to simple playground and board games, this can be a great place to start. Playing video games has been connected to dopamine production, Dopamine being the hormone responsible for making and keeping us happy, As a result, bringing some ideas from video games into education can have a good impact on students’ moods, motivating them to succeed. However, it’s important to note that gamification isn’t appropriate for every situation. Lessons sometimes necessitate more serious dialogues. Furthermore, too much game-based learning is likely to take away some of the fun and incentive that children experience.

Active Learning

Teachers become more actively engaged in how they teach the curriculum and enhance each student’s learning potential with the goal of educating mindful learners who actively pursue information. They combine a range of… strategies to ensure that kids learn not only more, better, and faster, but also smarter.” These words by active learning advocate James Ballencia are true to this day.

Although conventional this method is very popular across the world. Some active learning strategies include:

  • Reciprocal questioning: Have students come up with questions for the class on a recent lesson or concept.
  • The pause procedure: Take a break every 10 to 15 minutes so that students have time to discuss, ask questions, or solve problems.
  • Muddiest point: Ask students to write down which point in the lesson is the least clear to them.

Experiential Learning

Interacting and engaging with the world and people around us is the only way we can gain experience. This learning theory is based on David Kolb’s experiential learning cycle, and it takes into account the role of all of our experiences in learning, from emotions and cognition to our surroundings.

According to Kolb’s 1984 theory, the learning cycle is divided into four stages:

  • Active experimentation: The student will evaluate their reflections and previous lessons during the final stage before retrying the original experience to assess whether any improvement has been made. This will result in a new concrete experience, and the cycle will begin again.
  • Abstract conceptualisation: The learner must then make sense of their reflections and devise a strategy for moving forward. They may devise a plan of action and seek advice from experts.
  • Concrete experience: When a learner has a new experience, such as riding a bike for the first time, they are said to be in this stage.
  • Reflective observation: Following the concrete experience, the learner must reflect on their actions and see others doing the same.

Online Learning

Although the majority of the teachers were not familiar with this learning method prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, some teachers have always preferred to work online. Working from home, setting their own hours, and being their own boss are all advantages that online tutors frequently appreciate. But, exactly, what does online teaching entail? Educating others over the internet, whether through individual or group video conferences, webinars, or messaging platforms, is what it is all about. To keep pupils engaged, it’s usually a combination of elements. The benefit of online learning is that it is available to a large number of people. Although not everyone is able to attend school, an increasing number of people have access to the internet. Of course, technology can be a barrier to education as well, but this barrier is, thankfully, breaking down as time goes on.

Differentiation

In this method, teachers can differentiate in a variety of ways, including how students access knowledge, the types of activities they engage in to master a topic, the final result of learning, and how the classroom is organized. Differentiation can take many forms, such as having students read books at their own reading levels, providing pupils with alternative spelling lists, or meeting in small groups to reteach concepts. This is a tried-and-true method of teaching mixed-ability classrooms, but it can work if handled carefully.

For example, depending on the aptitude of the students, some teachers may choose to teach entirely different subjects. However, kids may feel ashamed, and teachers may become burned out as a result of attempting to do too much at once. Differentiating instruction through a range of mediums, such as books, films, visuals, and vocal presentations, is a better way to go. This allows a variety of pupils to participate and comprehend the topic of the session.

Blended Learning

Blended learning combines traditional face-to-face instruction with technology-based instruction. Although blended learning existed before the COVID-19 pandemic, it has grown in popularity among schools and institutions in the last two years. Because it bridges the gap between traditional and technology-based methods, a blended learning model can benefit both students and teachers. It incorporates enough technology to keep students engaged and focused, but it also gives time for kids to speak with teachers and classmates in person, which may be extremely beneficial. here are some of the examples of learning –

  • Flex Blended Learning: The ‘Flex’ is one of the Blended Learning models, and its paradigm is one in which… “a course or subject in which online learning is the primary mode of instruction, even if it occasionally directs students to offline tasks.” Students follow a flexible, personally tailored timetable that alternates between learning modalities.
  • Flipped Classroom: A ‘Flipped Classroom,’ perhaps the most well-known kind of blended learning, is one in which students are introduced to a subject at home and then practice working through it at school with the help of a teacher and/or classmates. Traditional roles for each space are ‘flipped’ in this fashion.

Conclusion

To encourage children to enjoy studying, we work with innovative technology that should generate revenue while also fostering their mental health. We use both broad media ways that aid students with learning activities readily because our primary goal is to involve youngsters during the learning programme in some of the best schools in Greater Noida.

The term STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) was first coined by Charles E. Vela, the founder and director of the Centre for the Advancement of Hispanics in Science and Engineering Education. STEM is an approach to education, which not just focuses on the cited disciplines, but also caters to developing critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities in children. It fosters creativity and prepares children with not just theoretical know-how but rather the real-world application of the aforementioned subjects. No wonder, STEM is often regarded as the key to success in the current times.

So today, we, at JP International School, one of the leading schools in Greater Noida, will shed more light on the topic and explain how STEM education presents children with a whole lot of benefits. Read on.

  • STEM boosts curiosity

All STEM disciplines encompass “questioning” by students at every level. Be it Science or Math, we get to hear a lot of ‘what ifs’ and ‘hows’ from students to dig deeper into the subject. This inquisitiveness aroused by the STEM subjects helps keep their imaginative curiosity and innovation instinct alive.

  • Diminishes the fear of failure

STEM education is specially gaining a lot of attention from educators worldwide because of its ability to derive better learning outcomes from students. That is so because STEM subjects encourage students to design solutions to the given problems in their own way without fearing about going wrong. When students adopt the trial-and-error method and take risks to reach success, they don’t fear failure anymore and are thus ready to follow their curious notions.

  • Prepare them for real-world problems

STEM education prepares students to cope with real-world issues covering community problems, health issues, building energy-efficient infrastructure, improving public utilities, etc. These are real-world projects that interest students, thus maintaining their curiosity.

  • Enables unconfined exploration

STEM education has been designed in such a way that it lets the students think freely and use hands-on research, tinkering activities, etc., to innovative outcomes. Their learning thus doesn’t remain confined to merely the textbooks, and they get to attain a lot more knowledge than they could have through the traditional book-bound approach of education impartation.

  • Operating synergistically = Great breakthroughs

We, at JP International School, a well-known school in Greater Noida, have seen that children can solve even the biggest of problems when they work in teams collaboratively and synergistically. This is the key principle that STEM is based on. Haven’t you ever experienced that when you understand other people’s ideas, perceptions, and understanding about a problem, you start looking at the situation with a different perspective and a new insight? Such breakthroughs help bloom the curiosity among the kids.

  • Equips the kids with strong technical know-how

During the study of various STEM subjects, students get exposed to using various technologies. They understand the power of new technologies as they move ahead in life. This not just makes them implicitly tech-savvy in the process but also ignite in them an insatiable thirst for learning more and knowing more.

Encapsulating, we, at JP International School, ranked among the top most schools in Greater Noida, would like to say that the most stimulating effect of teaching STEM at our school is seeing the queries of our students becoming sharper and curiosity getting built-in them with each passing day. We have seen how children begin to learn from their mistakes and thus make more informed and better decisions. Their fervor for learning gets built up, making them keener to know about things in life. This means that even though your child has no intentions of becoming an engineer or doctor upon growing up, STEM education will unquestionably initiate a lifelong learning attitude in your kids, which will add to their success in whichever field they wish to explore their interests in.

The ability to physically defend oneself from violence is a core human right that should be available to everyone, even children. Teaching children self-defense is something that is frequently overlooked in today’s culture, yet it is critical. Given the times we live in, the topic of children’s protection could not be more pressing. Crimes and violence against tiny children are on the rise. We shudder each time we come to know about the instances that come to light in this regard. With reports of molestation, eve-teasing, domestic violence, and other crimes flooding in from all over the nation, it is now more necessary than ever for our children to learn how to defend themselves.

Self-defense not only lets children physically protect themselves against physical assaults, but it also provides them with a variety of advantages in daily life. Essential qualities and ideas, such as hard work, persistence, and devotion, may also be learned. So, in today’s article, we at JP International School, ranked among the top CBSE schools in Greater Noida, would like to discuss the importance of self-defense for children and offer advice on how parents may assist their children in this area.

Key Benefits of Imparting Self-Defense Education to Children

  • Increases children’s self-assurance and confidence

When we speak about self-defense, the first thing that comes to mind is how well it works to increase the confidence of children. A significant component of any defense training is altering the child’s perspective and having them believe in their power. Any trainer will tell you that self-defense techniques begin in the mind before physical strategies are learned. The goal is for children to become more self-assured and secure in their ability to defend themselves from unanticipated threats.

  • Enhances physical fitness and encourages a healthy way of life

Any form of self-defense training, be it Kung Fu, Karate, or Taekwondo, entails a lot of rigorous physical effort. The end effect is that the kids have a fitter physique and a healthier lifestyle. Children participating in self-defense programs are generally very active, according to studies. The locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative motions all help to enhance gross and fine motor abilities, resulting in an overall gain in fitness and physique. This implies that children will have better coordination, strength, agility, balance, flexibility, cardio, speed, and reactionary and bursting force. Moreover, children who start taking self-defense training at an early age are known to be less likely to become obese, have a faster metabolism, and have more endurance under stress.

  • A good way to empower a girl child

There is a misconception in society that women need male individuals to defend, protect, and rescue them. Learning self-defense at a young age is a huge step in breaking such obsolete, age-old prejudices. A girl who can defend herself and speak up for her and others’ rights does not need to rely on others to keep her safe. Furthermore, unpleasant events occur unexpectedly, and when they do, there is usually no one around to assist in distress. However, since she understands how to protect herself, she does not need to rely on others to aid in such a scenario.

Tips on how parents can help their children learn self-defense

  • Act it out

Roleplay is one approach for parents to assist their children in learning self-defense Education. It will help you understand how your child will behave in different scenarios. Play the role of a stranger and play out events such as asking for directions, gazing at them, or following them down the street. Keep an eye on your child’s reactions and tell them what to do if someone makes them feel uncomfortable.

●       Do not let them leave home without these

Make sure your child always has a light and a whistle with them. A key chain alarm is another excellent item that attracts attention by creating loud sounds when pushed. To protect themselves, older kids may even carry pepper spray with them.

Summing Up

We, at JP International School, one of the Best CBSE schools in Greater Noida, believe that the current times make it rather necessary for the kids to learn self-defense right at an early age. We feel that self-defense training, whether for a boy or a girl, is a fundamental requirement for every child in today’s world. We would hence urge the parents to wholeheartedly encourage the kids to take up at least some form of self-defense classes. It will not only help them grow physically stronger but also be better prepared to face any adverse situations.

As parents, we all want our children to stay happy and healthy always. We want to see them attain huge feats in life and wish them to achieve everything good and nice. As such, one of the biggest fears of most parents is to see their children quitting and deciding to give up upon facing a challenge. It often happens that children choose to run away from difficult situations instead of putting in efforts to get over them. However, at JP International School, a top schools in Greater Noida, we firmly believe that the inability to perform a given task is usually not because they don’t know how to do it, but rather because of the mental block that stops them from trying. In most cases, it is the lack of grit and self-awareness. So, for all the parents facing a similar conundrum, here’s what you should do:

  • Never lose your patience and temper with your child.
  • Guide and encourage them to transition from the “I can’t do this, it’s too tough” attitude to the “How can I overcome the difficulties and do it?” approach.

At its core, this journey of changing the ‘can’t’ to ‘how’ is self-awareness or metacognitive thinking. If you see, the art of thinking about thinking is easier said than done, with many adults still grappling with it. However, it helps if you start early and teach your children this life-saving skill from a young age. Our holistic learning framework at the JP International School encourages students to think beyond books and start their journey of self-awareness right in their classrooms.

So, in this blog today, let us discuss the basics of metacognitive skills and how they impact learning outcomes in children. Stay tuned.

What is Metacognition? Is it Something You Can Teach a Child?

Going back to the vital transition we spoke about earlier, how do you even begin changing negative and limiting thoughts like “I can’t do this” to more optimistic and delimiting thoughts like “How do I solve this”? Well, it is undoubtedly trickier than it seems. After all, how does a child control his thoughts and emotions at such a young age!

To make this transition, the child has to ask himself WHY he is stuck at something, HOW he can overcome the hurdle, and WHAT his action plan is to achieve this. Metacognition is this thought trail comprising of asking essential questions like WHY, HOW, WHAT, etc. Simply put, it is the art of reflecting on their inner thoughts, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with workarounds!

Think of self-awareness as those mini conversations you have with yourself throughout the day. The voices that praise you for a job well done, warn you if you are going wrong, or tell you how much you enjoy looking at your child painting or singing!

When children learn about metacognition from a young age, they can better sync their thoughts and develop a perspective. This constant input from their inner self creates a healthy outlook towards life and leaves room for improvement. For us, at the JP International School, this is a part of our efforts to make them resilient, academically sound, and compassionate future citizens.

Role of Metacognitive Skills in Improving Learning Outcomes in Children

  • It helps in faster information processing and longer retention of information. This ultimately transcends to better grades.
  • It empowers children to find meaningful life experiences even in textbook lessons. They enjoy learning even those subjects they did not like before.
  • Self-aware students respond to success and failure in a better, more positive way. This leads to a happier time while learning.
  • Metacognitive thinking is directly related to resilience, curiosity, and compassion – qualities that are especially relevant in the outside world.

We, at JP International School, a well-known school in Greater Noida, understand that picking up metacognitive skills takes years of practice and, of course, lots of errors. But starting early gives you enough room to guide your child through the process well. At our school, we impart holistic, experiential learning, and teaching kids about metacognition is an integral part of it. We have seen that it not only helps the kids grow academically strong but also enables them to become better, well-rounded future citizens.

The last few years have witnessed a sea change in the educational framework worldwide. The highly competitive scenario of today needs children to hold much more than good grades on paper. In addition to strong academic knowledge, children today also need to have practical know-how and crucial life skills like decision-making ability, critical thinking, problem-solving, and much more. This is exactly what the concept of STEM education aims to achieve for the young minds.

STEM education, originally called Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology, is basically an approach that aims at providing the children with the necessary skills that make them creative problem solvers and eventually more marketable in the near future. At JP International School, ranked among the Top Schools in Greater Noida, we have seen how implementing STEM as a part of our curriculum has helped nurture creative and collaborative skills in our students. It enables the learners to initiate and establish a connection between their school, workplace, community, and global economy. No wonder, the concept of STEM has seen rapid adoption by the leading schools worldwide. So today, let us delve deeper into understanding the significance of STEM education in the current scenario and how it benefits young minds in multiple ways.

  • Develops critical thinking skills in children

Today’s world is full of complex problems. And in order to make the students a good fit for the new world, a strong STEM base is required. It is highly needed that children are taught critical thinking skills like analysis, evaluation, explanation, and self-reflection. Fortunately, STEM helps in developing all these critical thinking skills in kids.

  • Breaks the stereotypical gender roles

There has almost always been a big difference in the ratio of men and women working in the arenas of engineering and technology. But now, in the 21st-century world, girls are empowered to make a place for themselves in every line of work. And STEM helps to not only arouse the interest of girls and boys alike in science and technology right since the school years but also preps them up with the hands-on skills to do well in these subjects going ahead.

  • Enhances the thinking capacity

STEM helps in the interdisciplinary understanding of the subjects. This aids in the thinking process of the learners in a better way. And a better understanding of the subjects always helps them in solving real life problems and managing difficult situations on their own.

  • Promotes technical skills among students

As we are already experiencing rapid growth in the field of technology, it has become more important to enable children with technical skills today than ever before. A strong STEM foundation will not only help the kids to cope up with these high-tech advances but also prepare them for their future successes in the tech-oriented world.

In a nutshell, in order to enable our little ones to grow into successful innovators and contributors in the 21st-century workforce, STEM education is very much important. As the education community explores more strategies to provide students with advanced skills and knowledge, STEM is gaining more and more attention in the room. Owing to the multiple benefits that STEM has in store, educational experts across the world regard STEM as an important part of 21st-century education.

After all, if we are to see a constantly changing and increasingly complex world, it is necessary that young people bring problem-solving knowledge and skills to the table. And STEM enables the youth to do just that. As one of the top schools in Greater Noida, we, at JP International School, have not only adopted and implemented STEM based learning at our school but also encourage our students to take active interest in attaining hands-on knowledge from not merely books but wherever possible, as it will help smoothen the path to their future successes.

We are living in an age of pace and automobile. As such, walking along the streets has become more about taking necessary precautions than reaching the destination. No matter how much haste you are making to reach a place, never be reluctant enough to overlook the basic road safety requirements or else, accidents can occur at any time. And this makes it extremely important to teach children to be safe while making their way through the vehicle-crowded streets of the city, which can be only ensured when you let them know about the road safety rules at an early age.

Here, in this article below, we, at JP International School, have listed some of the road safety rules and practices that we believe all children should be aware of. Go through and let your kids know about the same.

Traffic Signals

The traffic signal is the primary thing that you should let your kid know. The three colors – red, green, and yellow, stand for separate indications. Children must know that a red sign is a stop sign and that they should never cross the road while the red light stays on. On the other hand, when the traffic signal shows green light, it is the right time to cross the street. It also has to be checked if the red or the green sign is meant for a vehicle or a pedestrian. Accordingly, the colors would imply a stop sign or a ‘move on’ sign.

Road Crossing Rules

Teach your children not to cross the roads at a bend or through the middle of the path. Always guide them to cross the road where the pedestrian cross has been marked, or the roads meet together. Choosing a random place for crossing the road can turn out to be fatal. Hence, make your children aware of the different zones and parts of a road and explain to them the areas they must take while crossing the road.

Attention is Mandatory

Attention is something that cannot be compromised while walking on the streets. Ask your kids not to remain engaged in a conversation over the phone while crossing the roads. Also, listening to music using earphones can be a dangerous practice as far as road safety is concerned. The one crossing the road or walking on the streets might eventually miss on the honking of the vehicles and bump into an accident. It is hence important to teach the kids to always remain attentive and alert while walking through the roads.

Never to Run on the Roads

No matter if your child is running late, teach them never to rush or run on the roads. Assessing the speed of the vehicle becomes difficult while running, and the drivers may also feel uncertain about controlling the vehicle if they catch someone running on the road.

Never to Put Hands Out of the Vehicles

Whether your child is traveling in a private or public vehicle, if he/she is sitting by the window side, it is important to teach him/her never to stick the hands outside the window. Any vehicle approaching from behind can hit the hand, hurting the child severely. Hence, teach them to stay put while sitting in a car or a bus, to avoid any undesirable mishap.

At JP International School, we believe that all children should be aware of what they should and should not do on the road. It is indeed essential to ensure their safety whenever they are out of the house. Hence, help them comprehend the real importance of road safety and how it can be decisive of the future well-being of the entire family. Start teaching the kids road safety essentials at home and do not forget to offer experiential learning while walking with your little ones on the road.

“It’s only by saying no that you can concentrate on the things that are really important.”-Steve Jobs

Yes and no are the two most common opinion intensifiers used in the English vocabulary. Most probably, these two are some of the primitive communicative signs as well that have survived the dramatic evolution of language over time. In any language, you can find these two words spelled, or pronounced differently. Generally, a yes is said to express our agreement with a particular notion, suggestion, proposal, etc. On the flip side, no is a word used to seal a firm disagreement or rejection over any suggestion, plan, or opinion. Though conventionally, ‘no’ is regarded as an absolute negative term, sometimes, it can pave the very way to the most favorable choices as well.

We, at JP International School, believe that if you cannot say ‘no’ to the things you do not wish to have, you can never say yes to the things you really want in your life. But, more often than not, pre-existing social prejudices preach the young minds to eschew uttering an absolute negative word such as ‘no’ which can ultimately be detrimental for the future of the children. Modern studies have revealed that people saying a quick no to things that they deem unfit or inappropriate are the happiest and the most successful ones. And this makes it absolutely necessary to teach young minds about the power of saying no whenever necessary. So, here in this article below, we will be discussing how you can teach your kids to say no without hesitating and hurting others’ emotions.

‘No’ is not negative

The very first idea that you need to instill in your kid’s mind about the tabooed word ‘no’ is that it does not belong to a negative statement. The word no is just a way to express your dissent over something. There is no need to add colors of rudeness or harshness to this simple word. If yes is an easy-to-speak word, so is no. There must not be any moral quandary emerging in the mind while saying a no straight-on face. A no is as perfect as a yes depending on the speaker’s agreement or disagreement to the notion to which he/she is declaring an acceptance or rejection.

Teach to say no boldly yet politely

Though it sounds a little paradoxical to be bold and polite at the same time, when you give it a thought, you will see that there exists no inconsistency between the two approaches. Boldness is more related to conviction, while politeness is the attitude with which the words get spoken. Hence, any expression can boast a balance between these two approaches at any time. If your child wishes to say no, teach them to tell the truth and stick to their feelings rather than bothering about what the other person will think. Also, teach them to utter the word as humbly as possible. It is often the way the words are spoken that define the very nature of it.

Saying no must have a reason

Having the liberty to say no must not offer the kids an idea that they can say no to anything any time without having a firm reason backing the same. Tell them to be ready with a logical explanation whenever they say no to anything. Saying no is undoubtedly a right that any individual is free to enjoy, but make it clear to them that with rights, comes responsibility. Hence, teach your kids to take responsibility for every word spoken, and they will never misuse whatever liberty they are granted.

At JP International School, a Top Ranked International School in Greater Noida, we believe that being able to say ‘No’ is an important aspect of the freedom of speech that every individual has. It is hence important that children know when to say no and how to go about saying it. This is one way to ensure that kids do not get forcefully pursued to do something against their free will. When the kids learn to say no as and when needed, it empowers them to grow into individuals of firm conviction, likes, and dislikes. And this is surely the foundation stone for a bright personal and professional life ahead.

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.” ―Abigail Adams

Learning is something that must be a constant process and must never cease. It is the quest for learning that keeps an individual growing. But what to do if the young minds run away from embracing the process of learning? After all, education and learning cannot be kept away to make the kids happy. The answer lies in instilling a fun element in learning. It is this dose of fun that helps convert the task of learning, which seems monotonous and boring to children, into something that’s gripping and interesting.

The young minds of the children seek free and unbridled learning, which can keep them glued to the process of learning and as well feed their curiosities in a lighter fashion than as received in the conventional classrooms. Here comes the relevance of making learning fun and introducing games that can be amusing as well as educating.

We, at JP International School, believe that education is a dynamic process and must keep on evolving with time. The learning methods which were considered foolproof earlier are no longer rendered the same credit in today’s world. The latest learning methods imbibe fun games and barnstormers that keep the kids engaged and interested in learning.

So today, we at JPIS would like to share with you some cool tips that you can practice at home to instill a lot of fun in your kid’s education process through the play way of learning.

Include easy & simple games

Easy playing games are always the best way to start and integrate games into learning. Simple digital touch games related to counting, identifying, etc. might keep your child aligned with their lessons without making them realize the same.

 Encourage memory games

Memory games are perfect for keeping your child’s concentration level managed. During the current times, when kids are spending all of their time within the four walls of their homes, they tend to become bored and annoyed. Memory games help the kids have a good time with other family members. It not only helps to strengthen the family bond but also keeps the brain engaged in something productive.

Introduce games that enhance the analytical ability

Riddles, puzzles, etc. are excellent for keeping the brain functioning in a proper manner. To instill the habit of rational thinking, you can keep your child engaged with the riddles and puzzles. Besides enabling the kids to think rationally and solve problems analytically, these games offer fun and amusement.

Allow children to use their imagination

Give your kids a few alphabets and ask them to frame as many words they can think of from these alphabets. This will help them learn new words enrich their vocabulary, and will also keep them engaged in a productive way. Learning words and their meanings would become easier than ever with these word-making games that offer enough fuel to keep the imaginative block of the brain pursued.

Regardless of the nature of the games chosen, make sure that you are maintaining a balance between learning and fun. None of the elements should outshine the other. Keep a thorough check while selecting, presenting, executing, and finding the right content quality of the games for the kids. The elements of learning must be there, and the kids must perceive the essence of these games accurately.

We, at JP International School, ranked among the Best CBSE Schools in Greater Noida, believe that education and learning must be seamless processes, and a sudden break along its course might result in severe backlogs that the young minds might struggle to cover up in the long run. It is hence important that the process of learning is kept constant, but at the same time, it is important to ensure that this process remains natural and fun-filled with no space for any stress or worries.
