Greater Noida: District Interact Leadership Assembly (DILA) 2019 on the theme ” Me To We” of Rotary International District 3012 was inaugurated by the District Governor Mr Deepak Gupta and other dignitaries.
Over 1200 student from Interact Clubs in various schools across Delhi/NCR participated in the Assembly including DPS, Noida, Gurukul The School, Ghaziabad, The Khaitan School, Noida, Pragyan School, Greater Noida, JP International School, GN and others.
Addressing the students, DG Deepak Gupta stated that the Leadership Assembly has been aptly themed “Me to We” Which inspires the young Interactors to aim high and achieve the same. He stressed that, through DILA, young students are motivated to serve the humanity and society and encouraged for” Service above self ” , which is the motto of Rotary Interact Club.
He shared that students can also become District Interactors after some time and serve the community along with Rotarians.
Rtn. Sachin Vats, while addressing the gathering, said that children, right from early ages, should be encouraged to nurture values of patience, care, service above self and willingness to contribute towards the betterment of human beings and society.
Dwelling on the noble initiatives taken by Rotary Clubs, he stated that the clubs regularly organises blood donation camps, cancer awareness camps which aim to bring a difference in the lives of people.Interactors from various schools presented colorful performances
