CELEBRATING KARGIL VICTORY DAY AT JPIS

Every year on July 26 the Nation celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas. Nineteen years ago, it was on this day that the war sparked by secret Pakistani incursion into India came to a conclusion with the intruders being soundly defeated. Kargil Vijay Diwas is named after the name for India’s Kargil war operation: “Operation Vijay”.
To give tribute to the armed forces of India and remembering their sacrifices for the country, JPIS showed documentary on Kargil Victory Day to the students of primary wing. The movie ” LAKSHYA” was shown to students.It is a story set against a fictionalized backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War. It was played on the smart boards in the classroom. The students enjoyed watching it with their peer group. They were very excited to know more about it. A short documentary was also screened in the School AV Hall which was witnessed by the Senior students of JP International.
