Each year 22nd April is celebrated as Earth Day at JPIS with great enthusiasm but we should celebrate EVERY DAY AS AN EARTH DAY. Earth Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made. It’s also a great opportunity to recommit and strive to do a better job.
Hence to imbibe such spirits in the students of JP International School, a myriad of activities were conducted during the Earth week.
The Pre Primary Department (from Grade 1-5), celebrated Earth Week from 19th April 2021 till 23rd April 2021. The week-long celebrations included activities that not only intrigued the students but also taught them the importance of mother earth and how we should protect her.
Day 1 – 20th April 2021, Tuesday, the students engrossed themselves in a Plantation Drive where they planted seedlings thus sensitizing them to grow more trees around us. Students also showed their creative side by completing an art and craft activity.
Day 2 – 22nd April 2021, Thursday, the students had a Story Session which told them the importance of the 3R’s and also how one can reduce global warming.

On the whole the week was an extremely fruitful one. Various activities were organized for classes I to V to sensitize them to the issues of climate change, deterioration of natural resources, etc. The activities helped the children hone their creative skills.
