Election for Head Boy and Head Girl

“Democracy is the road to socialism.”- Karl Marx

We are a part of a democratic country and each one has a right to vote. This thought was brought into practice at JP International School on May, 10,2018 when elections for the position of Head Boy and Head Girl were held within the School Campus for the first time.History was created. A long process was witnessed which included debate, manifesto, colourful ballot boxes, counting and the declaration of results. Elections have always been an event that students look forward to.  Wheels started rolling down fortnight ago. The entire Electoral Process was upheld in front of the school. The excitement and anxiety could be read not only amongst students, but even amongst Teachers and Administrative staff also. Nomination papers were filed by the eligible candidates of grade XII 2018-19, who not only secured 75% academically but even in co -curricular activities as well. This was followed by scrutiny and final candidates appeared before the panel comprised of the Vice President Mr. Amit Saxena, Principal Ms. Heema Sharma and Sr. Head Mistress Ms. Jhumur Chakravorty. The final candidates for the post of Head Boy were Rahul Pahal, Yash Jain and Karan Bhati, similarly Vishu Kasana, Chanchal Bhati and Urvi were selected as candidates for Head Girl. The final candidates then addressed the crowd of classes 6-12 in the A.V. Hall and started their campaigning. The whole process of voting was successfully completed in a day i.e. 10th May, 2018 and the excitement was seen to be believed. The TEAM ELECTION of JP International School counted the votes and Karan Bhati of XII Humanities and Vishu Kasan of XII NonMedical were elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl 0f 2018-19.
