In the modern world, technology is changing at a rapid rate. We can see new innovations in the technology sector every day. When new a technology comes in the market, it makes the previous ones obsolete and useless resulting in large quantities of e-waste. Most electronics contain some form of toxic materials, including beryllium, cadmium, mercury, and lead, which pose serious environmental risks to our soil, water, air, and wildlife, so a proper treatment of e-waste is very important.
To create awareness for the same, JP International School Greater Noida organised a workshop on ‘How to Treat E-waste’ on Saturday, 28th August 2021 for all the teachers.
The resource person Ms. Swati Ganguly, co founder and director at Edufiq Technologies Pvt Ltd and Juana Technologies Pvt Ltd. is a certified academician & counselor and advocates in Education Transformation Framework (ETF). She was awarded as the ‘Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2019’ by All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA).
Ms. Swati explained the various ways in which e-waste can be reused or recycled effectively without causing any harm to the environment.
All the teachers participated actively and cleared their doubts in the workshop.
