“Where Creativity and Imagination have no Boundaries!!!”
JP International School, Greater Noida have added another feather in their cap. The school organized “STEAM 2K19 Hands On Minds On” on 30th November 2019 in association with Creative Thinkers Foundation and Odyssey of Mind India. It was a proud moment for all, with this new addition to our prestigious JP International School.
A total of 11 schools from Delhi NCR participated in the event comprising of 210 students. The event challenged the students of various age groups to think out of the box and find solutions to various challenges given to them.
In this competition the students were divided into teams under three divisions –Division 1 (8-12 yrs), Division 2 (12-15 yrs) and Division 3 (15 -18 yrs). The students displayed best of their creativity and innovation in the tasks given to them.
It was indeed a privilege to have Dr.Abha Goel (CEO Atal Incubation Centre Bimtech),Dr.Akbar (advisory Bimtech ), Mr.Nimish Kapoor (Sr.Scientist Vigyan Prasad) Dr.Lalit (Advisor Amity Group of schools) and Prof.Amrita Madan(Ansal University Gurgaon) as the guest of honour.
We are thankful to all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion ,sharing their knowledge and blessing our dear students. Our dear Vice President Sir, Mr. Amit Saxena was also present to encourage and inspire the students with his wisdom and experiences.
Various experts from different fields and organizations were invited to judge the participant teams.
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. It is a fusion of science and art required to enhance overall creativity, to facilitate nurturing the problem solving abilities and also skills like team work, communication etc.
Creative Thinkers Foundation (CTF) initiated the unique event STEAM 2k16, where students got the inspiration to be creative and innovative.
In a world of multiple task taking, creativity and spontaneous thinking provides an upper niche to those capable of tapping into their creative mind. . Fostering talent of lateral, diverse thinking is becoming essential for the future generation.
Multifaceted activities were conducted to provide understanding the composition, properties, and creative use of materials, quick decision making to work within time limits and develop leadership qualities.
