Story Telling

“Story Telling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.” – Robert MsKee

JP International School organized a story telling session on Tuesday, 15th May 2018. Learners of grades III to VII got a fantastic opportunity to be a part of storytelling session conducted by Ms. Priya Nagarajan. The session began with a few words of guidance from the Principal Ms. Heema Sharma emphasizing on the importance of storytelling and the skill which can be developed by listening to stories. A warm welcome was extended by the Headmistress Primary, Ms. Himani Taneja where she encouraged the students to wear their thinking hats and fly into the world of imagination.

Ms. Nagarajan is a globe trotter at heart and has a host of books to her credit, ranging from story books to text books. The stories told by Ms. Nagarajan ranged from different genres like folktales from around the world to other age appropriate efiction and nonfiction stories. To give wings to the imagination of learners, stories were supported by PowerPoint presentations for visual effect. The session was made fun and more interactive with children being asked to guess what happens next and why. At the end of each story there were open discussions about what one learnt from the story.

Learners had a wonderful time listening to the interesting stories and enjoyed the sessions to the utmost.
