“We humans are in a bottleneck of overpopulation and wasteful consumption that could push half of Earth’s species to extinction”
World population day is celebrated on 11 July to spread awareness among people about the impact of a growing population and issues including gender equality, the importance of family planning, poverty, maternal health, human rights, etc. As a small attempt to contribute for the cause JP International School organized activities like brochure making and poster making. Students of classes VI-XII expressed their perceptions on effect of population on environment and perks of having a balanced population growth. Students highlighted the statistics of poor gender ratio through posters.
