“An efficient telecommunications network is the foundation upon which an informative society is built.”
17 May marks the anniversary of the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention and the creation of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The theme for “World Telecommunication Day” for this year is “Accelerating Digital Transformation in Challenging Times”. To celebrate this day at Swarnprastha Public School, a special assembly was held on the virtual platform by the students of VII-B on 18 May 2021. The students raised awareness about the use of the internet as it can bridge the gap between society and economies and the digital divide. They also highlighted the importance of telecommunication in our lives through various means of technology, and the important role of information and communication during this pandemic.
The students made the assembly very lively with speeches, interesting facts about telecommunication, and a Power point presentation on the role of telecommunication in our lives. Headmistress Senior Wing Mrs Swati Rana, also briefed the students about this special day and was full of admiration for the hard work done by the students to make the assembly a very informative one.
