"Creativity blooms where little hands shape big ideas." Our Pre-Primary Wing at JPIS recently immersed young learners in a clay modeling activity that brought values to life through two meaningful themes: “Sea Scene” and “Fruit Basket.” Inspired by the SDGs, this activity aligned with SDG 14: Life Below Water and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Through the "Sea Scene" theme, children crafted vibrant marine life, from fish to coral reefs, fostering an early appreciation for underwater ecosystems. This creative exploration highlighted the importance of marine conservation, encouraging empathy and responsibility for our planet’s waters.
The "Fruit Basket" theme allowed children to shape clay fruits, learning about the benefits of a healthy diet in a fun, hands-on way. Teachers discussed how nutritious foods like fruits keep us strong and healthy, introducing the values of well-being and self-care. This activity not only honed fine motor skills but also instilled values of environmental respect and healthy living.
This creative experience allowed our young learners to connect with essential values of environmental protection and healthy living, showing that hands-on activities can foster both imagination and a deeper understanding of our world.
