Climate Convocation and Green Schools Programme

JPIS's Participation in Climate Convocation and Green Schools Programme in Rajasthan

The green club of our school always participates in the climate change programs and try to raise awareness regarding it.  In the month of April,  Ms. Niru Kumari, School Green Club head under the guidance of School Principal, Ms Ruby Chandel, attended the second Climate Convocation and a comprehensive four-week online course on climate change. The events were organized by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and the Green Schools.

From 23th to 25th April 24, The Climate Convocation second chapter was organized at Anil Agarwal Environment training Institute ( AAETI) at Nimli, Rajasthan wherein the Green Club of JPIS took keep interest and participated in activities and worked on various topics like Climate Change: what's next, Teaching Climate Change: Challenges or Opportunities, Waste and Climate Change: A Crisis in Continuum, Carbon Footprint of your plate, Food and Climate Change: Eating right in a climate stressed - world, Climate Classroom Resources: A knowledge sharing session Warming and Wellness: the Climate health connect, from Numbers to Narratives: Understanding extreme weather through Data, etc. 

The JPIS Green Club incharge participated in all the activities, and was recognised by CSE. In conclusion, she was awarded with the certificate for her active participation in the Climate Convocation and Green Schools Programme. This could be possible because of the keen interest of our school Principal, Ms Ruby Chandel who always provides such opportunities to her faculties so that they grab new ideas, implement them and sensitize the students about the environmental challenges.  She also appreciated the green club head for her zeal and efforts.
