ATL Club, JP International School: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future

‘Empowering youth today for a better tomorrow, championing sustainability, and promising a glorious future.’

The ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) Club of JP International School has taken the initiative to empower and instill responsibility in its students from classes 8 to 12 towards environmental sustainability. In line with this, the ATL Club has planned a wide range of activities aimed at addressing a critical issue— the rapid growth of e-waste and the lack of sustainable solutions for its disposal. 

On 1st and 3rd October, the ATL Club launched the Generation Green Campaign, an initiative by AICTE and AIM in collaboration with OPPO under the banner of 1M1B, held on the school campus.

The event left a significant impact on those who participated. The highlight of the campaign included a Poster Making Competition on the theme of e-waste management, where students showcased their creativity and concern for the environment. Both students and teachers took the Gen G Pledge, marking their commitment to responsible e-waste disposal. The inauguration of the e-waste bin and a successful e-waste collection drive further emphasized the campaign's mission to ignite awareness and action among young minds for a sustainable future. 

Ms Ruby Chandel,  the strong pillar of the institution, inaugurated the e-waste bin along with volunteers, participated in the pledge, and motivated both students and teachers. She emphasized the importance of learning how to properly dispose of e-waste, a growing concern that poses serious threats to the environment and the planet.
