  • 20 October 2023

Navratri, one of the most vibrant and culturally rich festivals in India, came alive at JP International School. The spirit of Navratri transcended beyond borders as our diverse students, hailing from various cultural backgrounds, united to celebrate this magnificent festival of dance, music, and devotion. The school's Navratri celebration kicked off with enlightening Ramayana Hymns during each morning assembly since the beginning of Navratri that delved into the cultural significance of the festival.

On 20th October 2023, the morning was filled with festive fervor as the students of III-V walked in dressed up in Indian traditional attire. They first attended the Special Assembly where nine forms of Devi Durga were depicted by grade IV and V girls.

Students and teachers gathered in the AV room to learn about the various forms of Durga, the history behind the festival, and its importance in Indian culture, through a short animated movie.

The celebration reached its zenith when students and teachers came together in unison for Dandiya and Garba dance. The energy, enthusiasm, and sheer happiness in the air were truly infectious, reminding us all of the importance of coming together to celebrate our cultural differences.

The rhythmic footwork and vibrant costumes created an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration. It was a truly mesmerizing display of talent and cultural appreciation.
