The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative set up by the NITI Aayog in 2016 to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of the country. In 2018 , NITI Aayog , selected JP International School to set up ATAL TINKERING LAB which the flagship initiative of Atal Innovation Mission , to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds” and inculcate skills such as design mind set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing, etc.
In our quest to prepare global leaders and citizens for tomorrow by shaping the personality of the learners by moving them out from their comfort zones, JPIS has joined hand with with the international award for young people wherein participant students will get The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. This award offers three levels (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). There are four mandatory sections for Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the award. Each section has a specific purpose and objectives to be met as per the programs structure:
JP International School has a strategic understanding with SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) which is a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement founded in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth, Professor-Emeritus at IIT-Delhi who was awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ for his contribution to the arts in 2009.The purpose of this participation is to enrich the quality of formal education by increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring the young mind to imbibe the values embedded in it. It seeks to inspire youth through experiencing the mysticism embodied in the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry of Indian and World Heritage, with a hope that the beauty, grace, values and wisdom embodied in these arts will influence their way of life and thinking and inspire one to become a better human being.
JP International School has been an active member since 2015 of Rotary club constituted Interact Club for the students ages 12-18 with the following objectives.
For Jr. and middle wing students, JP International School has joined hand with Bharat Scouts and Guide and besides the skill development program in the local camps. scouts and Guides take part in the State, Regional events and National Jamborees. They earn badges for learning skills. Members of the movement are involved in the Community development such as sanitation drives, health campaigns, leprosy eradication, AIDS control awareness, anti-smoking and anti-drug campaign, environment education, tree plantation, traffic control, vocational training, service at fairs' and festivals, celebration of days, service at the calamity affected areas, happy family education, educational tours, national integration camps and international events.
JP International School has introduced National Cadet Corps (NCC) as a subject for sr. wing students to inculcate the qualities of discipline and patriotism among youth of the nation. In order to develop the reading habits of students JP International School, has taken another step to offer subscription of The Hindustan Times to its students from class 3rd to 8th all. It will also enable them to contribute in various columns and articles throughout the year.
